Very revealing. The other part of the story involved the blind man's parents. We can learn a lot from that as well. They feared being "kicked out" of the synagogue. Hence, why they answered the way they did. <br /><br />I WAS a modern day Pharisee. I see so many similarities between different groups of people in the scriptures and us today. We are saved as individuals. The path is clear and laid out in the scriptures especially in the Book of Mormon. <br /><br />You wrote "...hoping that obedience to their institutional laws will provide salvation". I have had many dreams that go along with this. The Lord had been teaching so much- (mostly thru dreams) I seek Christ and follow him and him alone these days.
