Surely too many curiosities to just be coincidence. There's probably more than meets the eye in this effort. That is something I need to do more of (ignoring a man).

Good post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-85553388903387663632020-11-25T19:05:54.299-08:002020-11-25T19:05:54.299-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18157207426274845984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-10302736405989735462020-11-25T18:40:01.290-08:002020-11-25T18:40:01.290-08:00What's interesting is the Church owns ~$700M i...What's interesting is the Church owns ~$700M in social media company stocks, the majority of which is FB. When you get a bunch of Mormons posting to FB, this increases interactivity, which helps drive up ad revenue and... increases the stock value and therefore the value of the Church's holding.

And it's not like what they're having members post has a great deal of inherent value. Doesn't really help proselyting either (non-members wondering what the heck is going on, but not much beyond that).

After the City Creek Mall I didn't think it would be possible for it to be more obvious what the church was about these days... until now. Could there be some ulterior motive for asking people to post gratitude for everything and everyone in their lives on social media?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-58323279145676433102020-11-21T20:00:00.493-08:002020-11-21T20:00:00.493-08:00The most offensive thing to me was that Nelson sai...The most offensive thing to me was that Nelson said that filling social media with expressions of gratitude would perhaps partly fulfill the promise to Abraham that through his seed the families of the earth would be blessed. What?! Are they literally watering down the Abrahamic covenant to being partially fulfilled through a social media gratitude blitz! Are the members of the church really this deprived of substance that they accept this fodder as meat?

As a friend pointed out---Oprah-false-prophet-Winfrey recommended gratitude journals years ago. Who needs Nelson when we got the goods from Oprah decades ago?! Kind of comical if you think about it.

Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04457398481139069988noreply@blogger.com
