And isn't it interesting to juxtapose the humble love of a good Sheppard vs the haughty pride a modern manager.David Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-90397823931044586392014-05-10T11:36:44.725-07:002014-05-10T11:36:44.725-07:00thank you--thank you--Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-31980131738923504812014-05-09T17:19:54.397-07:002014-05-09T17:19:54.397-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18157207426274845984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-25273670382918148202014-05-09T14:19:46.415-07:002014-05-09T14:19:46.415-07:00Thank you! I have a great appreciation for leaders who continue to remind me that my focus needs to be on the Master, that He is truly the One and Only leader of us all! My heart aches knowing that it is more of an exception than a rule! One can always hope for change!imatharrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03243646335872026395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-199633972689777295.post-20269473350412965462014-05-09T14:04:02.411-07:002014-05-09T14:04:02.411-07:00Nibley, as always, hits the nail precisely on the ...Nibley, as always, hits the nail precisely on the head. The world is full of managers whose only motivation is to climb the corporate ladder; but there are relatively few true leaders.
How about in the church? I find it far easier to accept guidance from one who declares with authority that he has met with and received direction from the Master, who is the true Leader of the church, than to be "led" by so-called leaders who tell me that the color shirt I wear to church, or the length of my hair, or that standing when an "authority" enters the room is important to my salvation.
Real leaders are rare...rare as hens' teeth these days. If you find one, pay close attention.
Thank you. Excellent article.
JRAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
