426: END TIMES?

My Neighbors, Family, Ward Members and Co-workers have asked me my thoughts about all of the recent events after the solar eclipse occured this summer. Fires, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Flooding, and now the latest with mass murders/shootings in Las Vegas. Things are not quite right when a family from Utah goes on a vacation cruise and the wife started to laugh at the husband and the husband then kills her. He then tried to throw her overboard... or when newlywed husband after taking cold medicine was dreaming he was stabbing his wife and he woke up, and she is dead because he really did stab her in his sleep. Below is from a talk I recently heard:

"The spirit of God is withdrawing from the world. Men are increasingly more angry without good cause. The hearts of men are waxing cold... This process with the spirit withdrawing, will end on this continent, as it did with two prior civilization in fratricidal and genocidal warfare. For the rest of the world, it will be as in the days of Noah in which, as that light becomes eclipsed, the coldness of men’s hearts is going to result in a constant scene of violence and bloodshed. The wicked will destroy the wicked."

SO, DESPITE ALL OF THE NEGATIVE GOING ON THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN CREATED.

This video will hopefully give hope despite many reasons to lose it.  My prayer would be that we recognize our precarious circumstance and turn to the Lord and ask for His mercy. We have the choice to ripen as wheat if we only repent.

  1. The Spirit of God may indeed be moving away from men, as our appetites are to do evil continually. I have noticed though that this same Spirit of God is moving into and among those who diligently seek Him.
Diligently seeking him does not mean getting up in the morning on Sunday, going to church, going through the motions of hearing a speaker or a pastor preach, then going on your way. Diligently seeking Him means truly searching the scriptures (and I fail here all too often), truly seeking his will- not just trusting in men to tell us how to feel, taking care of the poor and needy, and feeding his sheep. The list should be much longer, but I am weak in writing.
I have seen him move upon others, and He has moved upon me at times. It is unmistakable.
He has not left us alone. He is still very much among us, but we need to Seek Him with all our hearts. We must put Him first. We must forgive. We must love. If these things are so hard, plead with Him to help you. He wants to help us, we need only ask with true intent of heart. I have seen miracles, I have seen healing, I have seen the most unlikely people turn from their wicked ways and put their trust in Him.
His hand is outstretched still. We need just reach out and take it.

  2. Being angry without good cause reminded me of this KSL article yesterday. There was a late night home invasion in Orem utah by a man with no ties or connection to the homeowner, seemingly random. The suspect was violent and seriously injured the mother and also injured a child. The police report then said this:

"This was an act of cowardly violence against a mother of three children who was asleep and 4-year-old child. The suspect shows no remorse or feelings other than extreme anger, aggressiveness and hatred towards anyone who comes in contact with him."

"The suspect male is very aggressive, noncompliant and (this officer) fears if this male is released he will harm anyone he comes in contact with," the arresting officer wrote.

I'm grateful for hope and videos like was shard on this post to balance the coldness and darkness found in the hearts of men. There is always hope. Yes, things may be bad and hearts will fail according to scripture, but there is still hope.
