Some Utah Stakes now mandating wearing masks again at Church.

Some Utah Stakes now mandating wearing masks again at Church.

Video Announcement from a Stake President in Sandy, UT sent to members of his Stake sharing his frustration and disappointment towards who have not been vaccinated and blame them for the Delta variant surge. LINK HERE

“It is best for all of us to wear masks again while attending our Sunday worship services. We understand that returning to this mask requirement will frustrate many of you, especially those who have followed President Nelson’s council to get vaccinated and recognized this vaccination as an answer to our prayers."

"While we seriously considered requiring only unvaccinated adults to wear masks, we think unity in our stake and wards remains a critical ideal to seek and even though the data makes clear that this is now a pandemic of the unvaccinated, indeed more than 97 percent of the positive cases and hospitalizations are those of unvaccinated people in our communities."

"In all honesty, we are frustrated and disappointed as it seems the sure was completely preventable especially when our prayers of last year were answered with the vaccine rollout earlier this year. Nevertheless, we must join together and unite as brothers and sisters to do our part to end this pandemic and protect others during this surge including those who have chosen not to be vaccinated."

The First Presidency just released an email with a similar message:

  1. I see the first presidency has now weighed in and is urging masks where “social distancing is not possible”.
I logged in to my YouTube account just to dislike his video. By the number of dislikes, I wasn’t the only one.

  2. So, a message of "let's unite" while placing blame. Classy.

Apparently, thinking for one's self is no longer permitted in the LDS Church. Judging by the comments I'm seeing on KSL.com, it looks like a lot of folks think I should just get into lock step with whateve the First Presidency wants.

I will not. And, I have no problem going back to home worship.

  3. The last time Jesus entered a church his own townspeople tried to kill him…the last time Jesus entered the temple grounds his truthfulness led to his death. Maybe best to avoid churches and temples altogether.

  4. It's plainly obvious who is on which side when you really compare this situation to the dichotomy of agency vs safety. Satan wanted perfect safety at the cost of agency. God was willing to forgo safety to preserve agency and accountability.

It's obvious from my decades of LDS Mormonism that the brethren have adopted Satan's plan to use coercion and guilt to get people to conform and behave. Agency is dead in the church. They'll kick you out if you dare question them or attempt to think for yourself. It's now the Church of Russel Nelson of Latter-day Idolatry and it's part of the great whore of Babylon.

  5. This is just nauseating: patronizing tone; scripted teleprompter cadenced delivery; brown nosing (obviously bucking for upline attention and approval by authority). This man with the magic name is definitely future GA material.

  6. Definitely a rehearsal for Gen conf. I'm amazed at how much I used to buy into this image as "this is what charity looks like'. I now believe the Lord treasures the idea of 'acting no hypocrisy and deception'-- ie being authentic and unassuming and not putting on a front.

  7. If masking is the divine way of ending Covid then I'd like those speaking for God to explain:

Why is Japan getting crushed with Covid, despite 18 months of masking?

To quote the news headlines: "Uncontrollable Covid-19 spiral in Japan"

Masking and shots will not make the pandemic end. The pandemic only ends when the government decides it is no longer politically advantageous to continue it.

  8. We know what the Book of Mormon has to say about those who put their trust in the arm of flesh: They are cursed.

Then again, since when does the church actually heed the warnings contained in the BoM. We hear nothing about how Ether 8 is being fulfilled in front of our eyes and, in several cases within the church, they're actively helping it along.

  9. Question: "Is there no other way?"
Answer: "There is no other way."

Pretty much what I expect from those who follow Nehor.

  10. If 50% of the church populace (those resisting vaccination) chose to reserve our donations/tithing until things are 'back to normal', do you think they'd change the directive?

Even more than GERMS, this pandemic fear is a choice opportunity for a fabulous power grab. Liberties are being assailed on every side. It's time to push back.

Take a look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9EQiGbt8IM about the real intent of vaccine passports.

And what about the poor individuals who have shared their horror stories here?
https://1000covidstories.com/ (personal stories under the drop down tab)

Does the prophet and church leadership think these negative reactions, even deaths, are okay? The negative reactions are not minor. This virus has a better than 95% recovery rate! Why are we doing this?!

Maybe it's time for us to start writing letters to the First Presidency and our stake leaders. It's time to speak up.

Thank you for allowing me to share.

  11. Not just in Utah, just got an e-mail Wednesday from my Stake Presidency here in the Pacific NW; looks like I may not be continuing to attend in-person meetings after all.

And I've decided I also like Ephesians 6:12 to go along with the newer and more specific witness (for our day) of Ether 8.

And the First Presidency message does correctly say that we are facing an enemy, but misidentifies the enemy as the fake virus, and not the real enemy of dark spiritual powers and secret combinations described Ephesians 6:12 and Ether 8 trying to use the fake virus to achieve their evil aims.

  12. President Wirthlin’s Stake is being evacuated due to a wildfire that started Saturday afternoon. Up to 2000 structures are threatened, and over 1000 homes under emergency evacuation orders.

    2. Does that bring you joy? People possible losing their homes?

    3. No. It does not bring anyone joy. It is either a fact or not. It is informative, not judgemental.

    4. You could only answer that question for yourself Janeen.

    5. Anonymous has implied rather strongly that these natural disasters are related to the lds first presidency messages on vaccination and are in fact condemnations and punishment of the wicked found in scripture. “Fact” should not be a word associated with any of that…

    6. You can only answer that question for yourself Janeen, but I was asking Anonymous, not you.

  13. Do you think the Lord is asking us to choose Him and repent? I think the message is quite clear.
