Snuffmemes on FB!- Everytime you get memed with platitudes by the FOG (Folly of the Gentiles) reply with a Snuffmeme such as this:)
D,I read the Moab talk and that's one statement I don't fully agree with. Nephi called his people to repentance and they loved him, same with King Benjamin, and many others. There are many times when this statement is true, but I don't believe the repentance message will "always cause us to be shunned." Just a thought based on my experience and studies:)Rob
Thanks Rob for your comment. You bring up two good examples. In the case of King Benjamin, after he gave his sermon the people actually fell to the earth, for the fear of the Lord had come upon them. It was not a "feel good moment". They were racked with torment. They could see and view themselves in their own carnal state, even less than the dust of the earth. They were told a true message from the Lord.. a message of repentance. The people were brought low to the ground and cried. Do we do that today or do we make flowery memes and post them on Facebook about how blessed we are?
